Why use a wholesaler ?

"Why use a wedding wholesaler?", is an interesting question. It isn’t one we are asked very often, as our customers can see the benefits of purchasing from a business like ours, but we thought it was prudent to point out some of the key benefits.
Some would say that the traditional wholesaler is no longer needed, because most importers deal with companies of all sizes and therefore, as long as you fit the relevant criteria, it is fairly simple and straightforward to open an account with these businesses.
This is true to a degree and the internet revolution and aided anyone searching for wholesale suppliers, not only in the UK, but worldwide.

The largest benefit by far, is the availability of a range of products from different sources, all under one roof. This makes it cost effective to purchase what you require, rather than what a particular supplier has available. Many businesses have a minimum order value and a ‘carriage paid’ amount, we are no different here, but our requirements are much lower than many traditional wholesalers, with the added benefit of being able to purchase single items. Therefore, as an example, you can purchase one pack of confetti or one guest book from us. This significantly reduces your risk instead of purchasing larger quantities and gives you the ability to expand your product range simply.

There is also a perception that purchasing directly from the importer / manufacturer is cheaper, however because of the wholesaler’s purchasing power, this is not usually the case and therefore the wholesaler’s price is usually in parallel with that of the manufacturer, if not cheaper.

Customer service is extremely important and any business who doesn’t recognise this, needs to review its approach. Many importers / manufacturers take many days to process orders and despatch them accordingly. We understand that it is common for businesses to order ‘just in time’ and therefore speed of despatch is critical. This is why we aim to despatch all orders received before 1pm (Monday – Friday) the same day and use an express next working day service.
This target is constantly being reviewed and on many occasions, we are able to despatch orders received up to 3pm on the same working day.

It is also worth noting that wholesalers can be exclusive distributors for a range of products from a particular source. For example, an overseas manufacturer who is wanting to break into the UK market or a small UK based business, wishing to expand.
This enables the businesses more exposure within the market place. We would be happy to discuss any potential distributor arrangement.

All of the above points, in addition to regular offers and updates, is the reason to choose a wholesaler. The above applies to any industrial sector, not just the wedding / party market.
